Ill-health retirement (IHR) is generally a last resort when an employee has developed long-term health condition(s), which prevent them from remaining at work and/or provide regular and effective service despite reasonable workplace adjustments. Generally, the employer is responsible for facilitating an IHR application process by arranging an occupational health (OH) assessment. We have the knowledge and expertise to offer this service to employers, including providing a comprehensive IHR report, completing required IHR forms or certificates, and acting as an independent registered medical practitioner where indicated, such as the LGPS.
